I had an interesting conversation with an escort recently. And I thought I’d share a little of the insight I gained from our verbal intercourse. The girl was considering raising her price and wanted to know if I thought her business might suffer as a result. What came to mind initially were the old supply and demand curves and elasticity (and inelasticity) of demand I learned as an Economics major. But I knew “professing” that bull shit wouldn’t fly. She’d just look at me as if to say “I ain’t lookin’ for no smart guy/school guy. I want some street wisdom.”
So I took a different route – considering the conservation aspect of the decision. “Let’s say you raised your price…saw 33% fewer guys…but made 10% less than at the lower price. Would you be happy about that?” And her answer was precious: “Well, you know I like the action.”
Hallelujah and bang a gong! We’ve found a girl who likes her job! A veteran of countless encounters, her natural reaction to my question was a statement that displayed a distinct enthusiasm for her chosen profession despite all the miles. She likes “the action” – and gets a huge piece of it. Ya know…like more in a year than most women get in their entire lives!
The woman is good at her job and provides a vital and very much in demand service for her customers. I daresay she does as much or more for them than a psychiatrist could. So what’s wrong with this picture? I’ll tell ya what’s wrong: Mainstream society has shoved her to the fringes and stigmatized the girl for working a beat it judges as criminal. And I gotta ask “What the fuck is that?!?! Would you put a barber or waiter in a leper colony for doing a good job?”
This entire deal criminalizing sex prostitution makes absolutely no sense unless somebody wants to keep women barefoot and on the farm sexually so they don’t know what’s “out there.” And at this point, I gotta think that ship has sailed. Women get it. Not all men are created equal – in many different realms beyond the obvious.
Maybe eventually, this woman will realize her dreams as a makeup artist. And maybe she’ll find the perfect “decent” man. And she could even love him in a functional way. But girlfriend likes action. From both genders I might add. And she’ll never be monogamous. Is it wrong to just really like sex – and sell it because one of your signal talents is in that realm? Why deny her a living at what she does best? I say let a fly girl her get her piece of the action. She’s helping people – not hurting them! So what’s wrong with that?!?!
